Tiffany & Co. Foundation surpasses $100 million in grants to protect seascapes and landscapes

Established in 2000, the Tiffany & Co. Foundation focuses the New York-based company’s philanthropic endeavors. It actively engages in preserving the environment. To date, the Foundation has distributed over $100 million in grants to non-profit organizations. As the Foundation enters its third decade, it remains committed to protecting the planet.

The Foundation has achieved noteworthy successes on multiple levels, some of which include:

• Ocean protection: The Foundation has supported the creation and implementation of over 30 Marine Protected Areas, protecting more than 11 million square kilometers across the world’s five oceans. This work illustrates the Foundation’s commitment to advancing the “30 by 30” global movement that aims to protect 30% of the world’s land and ocean areas by 2030.
• Safeguarding coral reefs: The Foundation has supported the protection and promotion of coral reefs in over 30 countries around the world, from Hawaii to the Caribbean, Australia and the Coral Triangle.
• Landscapes conservation: The Foundation has contributed to the reclamation of abandoned diamond mines in Sierra Leone and to the clean-up of abandoned mines across the American West and has protected 10 million acres of ecologically rich and culturally significant lands.
