DIOR: AUTUMN-WINTER 2022-2023 WOMEN’S CAMPAIGN

The House is unveiling the campaign for the Maria Grazia Chiuri-designed Dior autumn-winter 2022- 2023 ready-to-wear line, which celebrates The Next Era, the mesmerizing Mariella Bettineschi work that served as the backdrop for the défilé. A gallery of female portraits borrowed from the history of painting – from the sixteenth to the nineteenth century – becomes the starting point for a reflection on the views that have conditioned women from yesterday to today.

Through the lens of photographer Brigitte Niedermair, the models echo these iconic figures, embodying the experimental audacity of the collection amid a hushed decor subtly evoking that of a cabinet of curiosities.

From clothing to accessories, the creations transform the Dior legacy by blending aesthetics and technology. The emblematic Bar jacket is adorned with technical inserts created in collaboration with Italian start-up D-Air lab*, while reinterpretations of the Dior Bobby, Lady Dior and Lady D-Joy bags through the prism of modernity exalt the ateliers’ virtuoso savoir-faire.

These images that symbolize power, strength and passion stand as an ode to Dior’s inventiveness, linking past, present and future.

* D-Air lab is an innovative Italian start-up founded in 2015 by Lino Dainese. Architect Silvia Dainese Gris is leading this special project for Dior.
